Morana Menzel
Geraldine, born in Berlin. She was growing up in a family of a diplomat and hotelier and therefore she saw and lived in different cultures at a very early age. Hotels have always been her safe home, no matter where in the world. She going to special music schools since she was 9 years old and singing, acting, and loving literature.
After graduating from Hotel Trade School in 2000, she started her career in luxury travel industry and worked in sales for different hotel chains like Langham Hilton, Kempinski Hotels, Ritz-Carlton and Rocco Forte. Geraldine Gomboshaw herself is characterized by her creative and proactive nature with a strong focus on international Hotel Management. She has extensive experience in new openings in sales, marketing and positioning of new brands and segments. In addition, she owns comprehensive knowledge of both strategic sales and hotel operations. 2023 is a founding year of byDistinction headed up by Geraldine. Geraldine is a former opera singer, a sport lover, a mother of 2 daughters and a passionate networker who brings people and hearts together.
Morana was born in Brandenburg an der Havel, Germany. After studying Tourism Management at Hochschule Ostfalia in Salzgitter, she moved to the Canary Islands and worked for different hotel chains like Iberostar and Barceló.
Since 2018 Morana is living on Mallorca where she worked in several sales positions. Recently she was part of the opening team as Director of Sales at the Can Bordoy Grand House & Garden as well as the LJs Ratxó Eco Luxury Retreat.
After almost three years in the position of Sales Director, Morana took a career break for 10 months and traveled through Argentina, Chile, Bolivia, Ecuador, Colombia, Cuba and Dominican Republic.
In February 2024 she joined byDistinction team as Senior Sales Manager.
Morana speaks fluent German, English and Spanish. She is a nature-loving traveler who is into discovering new cultures, people and beaches.
